All of you who love Titusville know about our uniquely American celebrations on “the island” along the Delaware River. This year, STOP THE HOTEL was there in force helping people learn about the environmental detriments of the developer’s proposal to develop Hollystone into a 27-room boutique hotel, restaurant, spa, pool, and speakeasy.
We’ve heard all along that people want to know what our signs are about, and once they learn about the application, they agree with us:
Hopewell Township zoned the Baldpate and Fiddlers Creek Preserves as residential back in the 1990s to prevent exactly this type of development. The point has always been to preserve Titusville’s most prized open space.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment should deny the applicant’s request to change the zoning to commercial just so she can make a profit off of all of us who love Titusville, Baldpate Mountain and Fiddlers Creek Preserve.
The Board starts hearing public comment at a special meeting this Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 7:00 pm via Zoom. So far, they’ve heard from everyone except those of us who categorically oppose this project.
If you need more information, visit www.hollystonemanor.com and join us on Tuesday, July 11th.
