STOP THE HOTEL—Two More Meetings Scheduled for Cross Examination and Public Comment: Tuesday, July 11, 2023, and Monday, July 24, 2023

At the Hopewell Township Zoning Board meeting last Tuesday, June 13, 2023, the developer brought back her traffic expert and hydrogeologist, both of whom said the same thing as the first time and that our experts are wrong.

We know that it’s the opposite.

They continue to use models that simply don’t accurately measure the danger of the road itself or the risks of decreased water supply in the surrounding area of Baldpate Mountain, Fiddlers Creek Preserve and the creek itself.

At the Tuesday meeting, the Township brought a contracted hydrogeologist to review the wide difference between our experts and the developer’s. He concluded that, indeed, the applicant did not perform the correct aquifer test and will have to drill another well.

At the upcoming July 11th meeting, the public will finally have a chance to lay out the errors in the developer’s testimony, as well as her experts.

We know you have a lot to add before the Zoning Board votes on whether to grant the variance from residential to commercial zoning in the exact spot where the developer wants to build her hotel, indoor and outdoor restaurants, spa, speakeasy, pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts and other amenities for wealthy guests.

Over 600 people are already with us, and we know many others want to get onboard.
